Andre Allen was arrested by Bristol police Tuesday on drug charges.
Officers on foot patrol in Brackett Park on Tuesday night made a significant drug bust, involving 150 bags of heroin in addition to marijuana.
Police said officers assigned to a walking beat were investigating a park violation in Brackett Park. During that investigation, according to police, officers arrested Andre Allen, 48, of Bristol. Police accused Allen of being in possession of marijuana, 150 bags of heroin, and a considerable amount of cash.
Police charged Allen charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of marijuana, and two park violations of possession ofdDrugs in the park and possession/consumption of alcohol in the park.
Allen was held on a $50,000 bond.
