Last Wednesday night, another arrest was made in Bristol following a mother leaving her children alone in a car.

Bristol police reported that at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, several officers responded to a complaint of two children being left unattended inside a car parked on the lot of Walgreens, 25 Main St..

In the officers’ investigation, they found two children, ages 9 and 7, were “indeed left unsupervised inside a parked vehicle.”

The investigating officer found that Regina Curtis, 38, of 41 Miller Rd., Bristol had left the children unattended while she went inside the Walgreens store, said police.

Two witnesses to this incident aided police in this investigation, said the department. The children were not injured.

Police said Curtis was arrested and charged with two counts of leaving a child unattended in a public place or motor vehicle, 53-21a(a).

Police said Curtis was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond for a July 28 court date at the Bristol Superior Court (G.A. 12).
