During the months of June and July of this year, the Bristol Police Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted an investigation into a heroin selling operation located in the West End of Bristol.
On July 8, 2016 a search warrant was executed at an apartment located at 19 Divinity Street, based on this investigation. As a result of the search warrant, two of the residents of the apartment, Fred Benyard, 50, and his brother Gary Benyard, 49, were arrested for possession of narcotics. Located during the search of the apartment by detectives was approximately 80 bags of heroin.
At the time of the search warrant execution several other arrest warrants were served on the Benyard brothers based on the previous investigations.
Gary Benyard was arrested on two outstanding warrants for the sale of narcotics (heroin), and is being held on $400,000 bond.
Fred Benyard was arrested on three outstanding warrants for the sale of narcotics (heroin), and is being held on $500,000 bond.
