Three teens injured after crash near Tower Road

A serious motor vehicle crash just east of Tower Road has left three teenagers injured today.

According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, the driver of a 2010 Toyota Scion heading west on Tower Road crossed the centerline, left the roadway and struck a cement retaining wall. Three occupants of the vehicle were all injured, including 17-year-old Alex Gordon of Bristol, who was seriously hurt, the release said. He was sent to a Waterbury area hospital with a head and chest injury, the release said.

The driver, 17-year-old Paris Testa of Southington, suffered a minor head and shoulder injury, the release said. Another passenger, 19-year-old Benjamin Edgerly of Bristol suffered a minor arm injury, the release said. They both were sent to Bristol Hospital for treatment, the release said.

At this time, no law enforcement action has been taken, and START (Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team) officers from the Traffic Division are investigating the accident. The road way was closed during the investigation, but is open now.
