Bristol police are investigating a shooting that left a 20-year-old man injured on Saturday.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, Travis Hapgood called police dispatch, reporting that he was shot on Center Street. Responding officers found Hapgood walking in the area of Center Street near Summer Street, and had what appeared to be a small caliber gunshot wound in the area of his right hip, the release said. He was then transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition and will undergo surgery, the release said.
At this time the motive for the shooting is unknown, and there are no suspects, according to the release. The victim is not forthcoming with information, the release said. The Criminal Investigation Division of the Bristol Police Department is currently investigating the shooting
