The Plainville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the bank robbery suspect.
Police said that at 1:24 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, the Farmington Bank located at 117 East St. was robbed by a male suspect that showed the bank teller a note demanding money. No gun and/or weapon was displayed, said police. No one was injured.
The suspect was described as a white male, 40 to 50 yrs. old, medium build, grayish/whitish curly style hair, gray moustache, wearing a black baseball style cap with what appears to be “Italia” written on it, black sunglasses, a navy blue shirt/sweater under a black “puffy” coat, and tan burlap type gloves, said police. The suspect fled in an older model tan vehicle, possibly a Buick, with an undetermined amount of cash, said police.
