One of the drivers seriously injured in a crash that happened at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and Collier Avenue last Friday has died.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, 87-year-old Erich Woike died from injuries sustained in the two-car collision. Last Friday, Woike was driving northbound and stopped at the intersection of Farmington Avenue. He was struck by a vehicle heading west on Farmington Avenue when he entered the intersection, and was trapped in his vehicle before he was rescued by Bristol firefighters.
START (Serious Traffic Reconstruction Team) officers continue to investigate the crash, the release said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Traffic Division office at (860) 584-3033.
