A motorcyclist is suffering serious injuries after a crash that happened at the intersection of North Main Street and Curtiss Street on Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, officers found 26-year-old Jose Burgos of Kensington with serious head and back injuries. He was heading north on North Main Street approaching the intersection of Curtiss Street, but failed to stop at the stop sign, and continued straight through the intersection, hitting a guardrail, the release said.
Emergency responders arrived at scene and transported Burgos to a Hartford area hospital, the release said. Burgos was operating a 2006 Suzuki GSXR600, and wore a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the release.
At this time, the investigation is continues and no enforcement action has been taken, the release said.
