Plymouth man hospitalized after shooting on South St. Ext.

A 27-year-old man from Plymouth was hospitalized on Saturday after a shooting that took place on South Street Extension.

According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, Timothy Norris was sitting in a vehicle parked in front of the area, 36/38/40 South Street Extension when he was shot in the upper abdomen. He was sent to a local trauma center to undergo surgery, and remains in critical but stable condition, the release said.

The incident does not appear to be random, and remains under investigation, the release said. Police said in the release that items of evidence were found from the scene, including a handgun.
