A pedestrian has a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of King Street and West Washington Street late this morning.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, a male and female pedestrian were walking north on King Street when they attempted to cross the intersection of King Street and West Washington Street. As they were crossing, a vehicle traveling south on King Street tried to make a left turn onto West Washington Street and struck the male pedestrian, the release said. The male pedestrian was sent to a Hartford area hospital for his head injury, but the female pedestrian was not struck, the release said. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, the release said.
