Bristol police arrested and charged the suspect connected to the attempted armed robbery that took place at Valero gas station on Pine Street last Thursday.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, 26-year-old Joshua Daniels of Bristol was the lone suspect of the robbery and suffered non-life threatening stab wounds. On Dec. 31, patrol officers responded to the gas station for a disturbance involving people fighting with knives, and an additional call was received reporting the incident as an attempted robbery in the gas station’s parking lot, the release said. Before police arrived, Daniels fled the scene on foot, the release said.
While police were on scene investigating the initial call, officers received a report of a stabbing from a nearby residence, the release said. An ambulance responded to that location where a male was found with several stab wounds, the release said. Both incidents were believed to be related.
Daniels was charged with criminal attempt of first degree robbery and criminal attempt of first degree assault. He was held on a $50,000 bond.
