What initially appeared to be a pipe bomb last Friday when Bristol police responded to a domestic dispute in a Seymour Street home turned out not to be an explosive device.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, officers from the Patrol Division found a device that appeared to be a pipe bomb while investigating a reported domestic dispute at 81 Seymour Street. After the Hartford Police Bomb Squad responded to the scene, further investigation revealed that the item was not an explosive device, the release said. No criminal charges were brought regarding the device, the release said.
