Bicyclist struck at intersection of Woodland and King St.

A bicyclist was struck yesterday during a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Woodland Street and King Street.
According to a press release from the Bristol Police Department, the bicyclist, identified as 28-year-old Justin Bonhomme of Bristol, was south on King Street, passing through the intersection of Woodland Street when he was struck by a Toyota Tacoma pickup. The driver of the vehicle, 63-year-old Rebecca Higgins of Bristol, was north on King Street and struck Bonhomme when trying to take a left turn onto Woodland Street, the release said. Bonhomme is currently in stable condition with hip and leg injuries at a Hartford area hospital, but Higgins was not injured, the release said.
The investigation of the crash is still ongoing and no enforcement action has been taken, the release said.
