A Bristol man was arrested on child pornography related charges on Aug. 11, reported state police.
Cory Korchma, 25, of 110 Shrub Rd., of Bristol was charged with third degree possession of child pornography.
During September 2014, a press release from state police said detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit initiated an investigation into child pornography distribution.
Through the course of their investigation detectives applied for, and were granted, a search and seizure warrant by the Superior Court. Upon executing, the release said, the search and seizure warrant detectives seized as evidence a computer and multiple computer related items. Detectives were also able to identify the suspect as Cory Korchma.
Upon the conclusion of this lengthy, extensive investigation detectives applied for, and were granted, an arrest warrant for Cory Korchma by the Superior Court, the police said.
On Aug. 11, Cory Korchma was taken into custody and transported to Troop H-Hartford where he was processed. Korchma was held on bond, and presented in court.
His bond was set at $150,000.
