With the annual Shamrock Run & Walk scheduled to kick off tomorrow, the city has indicated parking restrictions in the area starting at 6 a.m. that morning, according to a press release from the Bristol Police Department.
The event will take place at Chippens Hill Middle School on James P. Casey Road and the surrounding area. Race officials, Bristol CERT, and Bristol police officers will be on hand to help drivers in the area, the release said. Here are the following parking restrictions that will be in effect:
- No parking on both sides of Perkins Street between the Perkins Street ‘S’ curves and Pine Hurst Road.
- No parking on both sides of Old Peacedale Street between Perkins St. and the eastern most entrance of Chippens Hill Middle School.
- No parking along the north curb of Old Peacedale St. between the eastern most entrance of Chippens Hill Middle School and Eastwood Road.
- No parking along the north side curb of James P. Casey between Perkins St. and Battle St.
Drivers traveling through the area should use caution as walkers and runners will be in the roadway, the release said. The run will begin at 9:30 a.m. The race participants will use the following roads: Old Peacedale St., Perkins, James P. Casey Rd., Pinehurst Rd., Lawrence Lane, Hill St., Matthews St., Clark Ave., Hill St., and Battle St.
