Autopsy results are still being determined for a woman who died in a car fire on Monday
Late Monday morning police and fire officials arrived to Farrell Avenue after a large amount of smoke in the area was reported, according to a press release from the Bristol Police Department. Upon their arrival, officials found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames, the release said. After putting out the fire, officials found the body of a woman in the car, the release said.
Police report that the victim is believed to be a 45-year-old resident of Bristol. The cause of death is currently being determined, and a positive identification is pending a comparison of dental records, the release said. It is unclear whether the cause of death is suspicious.
The State and Bristol fire marshals, along with the Bristol’s Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the incident.
