A convicted felon was arrested in connection with a domestic dispute in which a firearm was brandished.
Police reported that about 11:55 p.m. on Monday several Bristol officers responded to a complaint of a domestic dispute at 169 Davis Drive. Police said an investigation revealed that a male at that residence was in possession of a firearm.
No one was injured in this incident and the investigation found that there was no violence to support charges of a domestic based arrest.
But, police said Craig Saunders, 23, of 218 Wortman Ave. (2-B), Brooklyn, N.Y. was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon. During the processing of this individual, police said officers learned Saunders was a convicted felon out of New York for a residential burglary. Due to his convicted felon status, Saunders then was additionally charged with criminal possession of a pistol/revolver.
Saunders was held on a $50,000 surety bond pending his appearance at the Bristol Superior Court Tuesday morning.
