With friends and family present, the four recruits took the oath of office required of all police officers.

The recruit officers began their formal training on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the State of Connecticut Police Academy. At the successful conclusion of the 24 week academy training program, they will enter the 14 week Bristol Police Department field training program.
